The purpose of Praxis children’s ministry is to assist parents in raising children who possess and understand faith, know and follow the Gospel, and are active church members.  We do this by teaching our children a Biblically true God, continuously presenting them with the Gospel, teaching a curriculum that correlates with their parent’s Sunday sermon, and integrating our children into the services as they grow.

Children’s Ministry is offered at 11:30 am and 5:30 pm

Our children’s ministry offers programs for newborns through fifth graders.  We encourage our parents of newborns and toddlers to bring their children in for the ending worship to begin integrating them into service. Children ages 4 and up will be brought in for the ending worship by their classroom leaders.

In addition to Sundays, there are many other opportunities to get your child involved in Praxis Children’s Ministry:
 
Life Training Child Care
Our children’s ministry staff offers child care for newborns through fifth grade from 7-8 pm during the Tuesday Life Training session only. 

Parent’s Night Out
Need a night off?  Once a month our children’s ministry staff offers free babysitting to give our parents a well-deserved time-out.  We offer a time of free play, crafts and activities, dinner or lunch, and a movie.  Watch for this month’s sign-up sheet in order to reserve a spot for your child.

At Praxis, our kids are extremely important to us.  Therefore, we take every precaution in order to keep our children safe.  A CPR and First Aid certified person is always present in the classroom.  All of our children’s ministry workers are required to complete an extensive application, pass a background check, and undergo an interview with a children’s ministry leader and Praxis elder before helping in a classroom. 

Additionally, the leaders of our classrooms have completed a six week training course in order to best teach and protect our children.

Our children’s ministry team is made up of individuals who love the Lord, believe in the Gospel, have a desire to serve at Praxis Church, and are passionate about growing our kids in their faith and understanding  of the gospel.
